Task: The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) organized the thrilling Abu Dhabi Games & Tech Week in October 2019, dedicated to video games and popular culture. Inspiratus was responsible for the end-to-end conceptualization, planning, operation, management, and execution of this large scale activation across Abu Dhabi.
What we did: Working closely with the team from DCT we developed a plan for a gaming takeover across Abu Dhabi. This involved developing the look & feel for the week, including branding, website , engaging social media content, toolkits, and marketing collaterals for hotels, gaming cafes, and more. We efficiently managed various aspects of the event, from onboarding hotels and transforming standard hotel rooms into gaming themed rooms and implementing captivating activations in their lobbies. In addition, we designed and developed themed gaming rooms across four prominent shopping malls. We successfully onboarded gaming cafes, F&B outlets, and retailers to promote the week. We worked closely with DCT to execute the media plan, involving video content creation and designed posts. Not only did we manage and run thrilling tournaments and competitions, but we also ensured that every aspect of the Games & Tech Week was a memorable celebration of gaming and pop culture.
