Task: In September 2020, Inspiratus Consulting Limited took over the management of the sports facilities at Dubai Sports City. In two short years, Inspiratus was able to transform the football facility into the region’s leading community sports and entertainment hub, the Inspiratus Sports District (ISD).
What we did: Once known primarily for its football pitches, ISD built 10 new sports brands for academies and playing venues on its 23 playing surfaces, and launched new brands for entertainment, attracting over 1 million in footfall per year! In Football, Inspiratus set up its flagship LaLiga Academy, in partnership with the Spanish League, offering the gold standard in player development to over 1,000 children and youth. Inspiratus launched a full 360 offering for sports science with the ISD Sports Performance Lab and ISD Sports Clinic. Inspiratus also launched Footlab Dubai, the world’s only indoor football-themed entertainment and performance park, in partnership with football legend Rui Costa. In Padel, ISD Padel was a game-changer for Dubai’s padel community with the launch of one of the largest, most advanced padel complexes in the region. Inspiratus also launched The Square, a hugely popular outdoor venue for live music entertainment on weekends, which hosted the World Cup Fanzone in 2022. ISD has hosted many prestigious events, such as the Asia Rugby Sevens, FIFCO 5-aside football tournament, Dubai Corporate Games, and serves as the preferred training ground for international clubs and teams. Olympic and professional athletes have also chosen ISD as their winter training base.
