UAE School Games 2024

Inspiratus - UAE School Games

Task: The UAE School games is the only UAE-wide sports platform open to all private and government schools across the UAE enabling student athletes to compete in 10 competitive sports and to raise the bar on their athletic performance for the chance to be scouted by the national sports federation in each sport. Inspiratus was brought in to deliver the UAE School Games on behalf of the General Authority of Sports, and the Schools and Universities Sports Federation in the UAE. We’ve managed the event for the past two years.

What we did: Over the course of several months, competitions were organized across the UAE which saw 2500 students from across 350 different schools compete in 10 different sports; Swimming, Athletics Badminton, Fencing, Archery, Judo, Taekwondo, Jiujitsu, Laser Shooting and Football.
The competitions, held across the seven emirates culminated in a spectacular National Finals event held at Expo City in May 2024 with 5000 attendees.
For this project, we secured schools' participation ahead of the event and organized competitions, including booking venues for the numerous competitions across the UAE. We managed relationships with hundreds of coaches to ensure all students attended on their competition days. We created an on-site digital registration platform, enabling an efficient, tech-driven registration process. We also managed all on-the-ground operations, tracking all competition results, and organizing the National Finals and awards ceremony. For 2024, we also introduced an immersive fan zone with custom coded arcade–style games which allowed the athletes and attendees to broaden their horizons by trying out different Olympic sports in a new and gamified way.
The finals awards ceremony, which was held on the same day as the final competitions, was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the National Olympic Committee, and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, and H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the General Authority of Sports.
